Two components of insurance website design are the graphical and functional designs.
For our purposes, Graphical Design represents the ‘look and feel’ of the site, the emotional tone. Colors, fonts and white space can all impact how your potential clients ‘feel’ about the site. We want the “look and feel’ of your site to represent you in a way that causes potential clients to want to see more.
Functional Design relates to how quickly pages load, how easy is the site to navigate and other factors such as; text layout, page names, forms, links, embedded multimedia, file linking and anchor text.
Both graphical and functional design can impact search engine ranking. Proper title tags, description tags, al tags, link text, anchor text are all optimized to gain the highest possible search engine ranking.
Graphical Design
Each insurance agent web site we design is a custom project.
We use your existing advertising and marketing materials, business card and brochures as the foundation of our design. You may have spent a lot of time and effort developing your personal brand. These things tell potential clients about YOU.
Each website we develop is focused on selling you!
Do you have a logo? A slogan? What interests you? What kind of clients do you want to reach?
We want to tell site visitors about your market expertise, the successes you have had, the associations you are affiliated with, the people who you like to have as clients, your philosophy.
Visually and in written form we want to tell a story about you, a story that will help the right potential clients to connect with you.
Functional Design
People connect very quickly with a website and make very rapid judgments. In fact, research shows that people will spend approximately 3 seconds on a web page deciding if it is what they are looking for. Try it yourself. Do a search on a random subject. Start clicking on links. See how long it really takes you to decide if a page is relevant for what you are searching for you. This is typical of user behavior. How long will you wait for content to load on a web page? How long does it take you to get frustrated if a site is hard to navigate?
Every insurance agent website design is developed to load quickly and be simple to navigate. Surveys show that usability of a website far outweighs the value of ‘bells and whistles’.
We keep you potential clients in mind through every portion of development.
